Ms. Stephanie

Stephanie is an accomplished dance educator and communications professional with over 25 years of experience teaching, coaching, and choreographing for nationally ranked teams and studios throughout the country. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, and a Master of Arts in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Performance Studies from San José State University. Her master’s thesis, A Dancing Paradox: Oral Histories of Dance Pedagogy, reflects her dedication to preserving and advancing the art and practice of dance education.

Stephanie served for over a decade as a Songleading Head Instructor and judge for the United Spirit Association, where she was honored as Most Valuable Instructor for her leadership and impact. Throughout her career, she has performed in and helped organize halftime performances for the San Francisco 49ers and Golden State Warriors. Stephanie has also received choreography awards in jazz, pom, and hip hop. 

Her performance experience also includes appearances with the bands Train and Starship. Currently, Stephanie serves as the Head Coach of the Gunn Titanettes and as Department Chair of the Communication Studies Department at De Anza College, where she continues to inspire students through her passion for performance, education, and community engagement.
