Ms. Andrea
Andrea began dancing at the early age of 3, and her first exposure started at the Nancy Doize School of Dance. She furthered her dance career at the Ballet Centre, now known as Capitol Dance Center (CDC). There she participated in the Royal Academy of Ballet’s examinations. She’s been formally trained in Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical & Tap. Dancing wasn’t just an after school activity – it became her lifestyle.
In high school she was a member and captain (2 years) of the nationally ranked Pioneer High School Dance Team. As a soloist, she won multiple individual awards in Northern & Southern California.
In college, Andrea professionally danced for the San Jose SaberCats, Golden State Warriors, and Oakland Raiders. Once she earned a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from San Jose State University, she contributed to the establishment of SchoolHouse Sports and American Spirit Association (ASA) by Jim and Jane Carter (DAU affiliated).
For many years, Andrea was a tremendous influence in Dance Academy USA and its continued legacy. In 2015, she decided to step away to spend more time with her family. This ultimately led to her also be able to focus on her corporate career.
Andrea is currently at Juniper Networks in Sunnyvale, CA. There she is leading and managing the recruiting efforts for the Juniper Apstra Team Engineering & Product Teams. Andrea is beyond excited, and looking forward to connecting, influencing, and inspiring future dancers once again!
