Why Join Now?

Here we are mid-school year in January 2024 and you might be wondering ”Why join the 23-24 dance season now?” We are here to tell you all the incredible benefits waiting for you if you dive into the DAU dance season before enrollment closes on February 17th.

The key is, you will have the opportunity to springboard your way into the dance experience by joining now and participating in our June 2024 recital. Performance not only pushes and amplifies our learning, but it also bonds us together as a community. And there’s really nothing more special than creating memories with other community members alongside you. That is what we remember when we look back years from now.

So let’s take a closer look at what you would gain by joining the season and being in our June Recital. Watch this video and learn more about the perks here...

Friendship

As you work alongside your dancing peers from now until recital, there are shared moments that happen in the studio that build friendship. Perhaps you work together to clarify a dance technique, or you help each other navigate the choreography, or maybe there’s a funny moment in class that becomes an inside joke. All of these little moments build up to shared experiences, and ultimately lasting friendships. By the time you get to recital, the bonds among our child, teen, and adult dancers are significant. Hugs happen freely, smiles and laughter are all around us, and we feel like family. The friendships built through dance are priceless, and dancing with your friends on the recital stage feels exhilarating.

The Feeling of Success

It’s possible you’ve watched other dancers perform for years and wished that you could do what they do. And guess what….You can! The only thing standing between you and building dance skill is the road from here to Recital 2024. Attend classes weekly now through June and you will feel like a million bucks as you proudly show off all your new moves to a captivated audience. Recital is a pivotal moment for our dancers because it’s the tangible milestone that shows them and the world that they have succeeded in building a skillset that they are passionate about. That feeling of success is thrilling, and it’s experienced by our entire community on that recital stage.

The Joy of the Spotlight

You work towards your individual goals everyday, but how often do you get to feel that spotlight and know that the audience is celebrating your accomplishments with you? There’s something that comes alive inside of us when we take a moment to celebrate ourselves…energy, passion, and pride are all present in sync when that spotlight shines upon us, our friends and family are watching, and we know that we are showing the best of ourselves to the world. If you’ve watched the smiles on dancers’ faces when they perform, those smiles are genuine because it’s really that joyful to be in that moment, starring on stage for all to see.

The Connections

Any performer will tell you that when they dance on stage alongside their peers, there’s an indescribable bond and connection that they will always have for the rest of their life with those people. Depending on circumstances, you may or may not continue to see all of those people on a regular basis after recital. But when you bump into them, even years later, you will always remember the connection you felt with them being in that moment. And that’s something to hold and cherish with your fellow classmates forever. Connections with others are what drive us. They give us meaning. They give us fulfillment. And our recital dancers have an overabundance of meaningful connections to each other.
