  • Acro

    Acro

    Acro focuses on strength, flexibility, muscle control and balance in combination with traditional gymnastic skills such as somersaults, cartwheels, handstands, walkovers, etc. The emphasis is to seamlessly incorporate skills into traditional dance to add exciting movement, line and extension to enhance the emotional and artistic expression of dance.

  • Adult Classes

    Adult Classes

    We offer adult Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Lyrical/Contemporary, Tap, Jazz Funk, Breaking Fundamentals, and K-Pop classes so adults can join in on the fun, too! No prior dance experience is necessary. Choose from any of these beginner/intermediate level dance classes to enjoy weekly time with your fellow adult dance peers.

  • Ballet

    Ballet

    Ballet is the foundation of other dance disciplines and helps students develop grace, posture, body alignment and artistry. Starting your child in ballet when they’re young can teach them an early appreciation for dance and art forms, but it can also encourage key qualities and skills you want your little one to know. Ballet classes for kids offer several physical benefits, such as the development of muscles, better balance and coordination, and honed motor skills.

  • Breakdance

    Breakdance

    For kids looking for an exciting challenge, look no further than our Breaking classes. Breaking (also referred to in studio settings as breakdance) is the first style of Hip Hop and is known for being a lively/entertaining style of dance. Breaking is an exciting challenge that will allow kids to gain confidence and master amazing skills like footwork, powermoves, freezes, etc. while bringing out their own unique style. As one of the more dynamic and technical forms of dance, Bgirls/Bboys need to come determined and focused. While no previous skills are required, Breaking can be challenging and we recommend that all students come in with a can-do attitude—it will take you far!

  • Cheer/Pom

    Pom is a style of dance rooted from Jazz, but also contains elements of technique found in cheerleading. This style of dance focuses on lines, sharpness, transitions, and flexibility as well as cheer jumps and motions. The cheer/pom class will train dancers in the difference between Jazz terminology vs Cheer terminology and technique.

  • Combo

    Combo

    Our Tap/Jazz and Ballet/Jazz combo classes for 6-8 year olds offer the best of both worlds for those dancers too old for an Intro to Dance class, but too young to know what discipline of dance they would most like to pursue.   • Creative Dance

    Creative Dance

    Creative Dance is a structured program for 3 year olds. With imaginations fully engaged, dancers are introduced to ballet and tap elements and movements such as skipping, leaping, and jumping. They learn to follow directions, take turns, and practice following and being a leader. Dancers must be 3 years of age by October 1st. 2023.

  • Dancer Conditioning

    Dancer Conditioning focuses on building stamina, stability, and strength. The goals of this class are to reduce injuries and improve posture, flexibility, coordination, and overall fitness. Students will engage in exercises that include body alignment, resistance training, core strengthening, stability, endurance exercises, etc. 

  • Femme Hip Hop

    Our Femme Hip Hop class focuses on the more feminine street styles of hip hop. Students will learn the fundamentals of waacking (posing, arms, footwork) as well as the elements of voguing (duckwalk, catwalk, hands, floorwork, and spins/dips). Previous experience in Hip Hop and/or Jazz is recommended.

  • Hip Hop

    Hip Hop

    Hip-Hop dancing is an energetic, popular dance style that involves whole body movement and is about self-expression. Hip Hop comes in many styles and forms and is about strength, endurance, and movement quality. Hip Hop tells a narrative story through musicality and intricate gestures. Students will learn about movement dynamics, be introduced to floor work and footwork, and understand how culture and community affect art and dance.

  • House

    House is a social dance form that originates from the underground House scene of Chicago and New York during the 70s and 80s. Its main elements are jacking, footwork, and lofting, but are also influenced by other styles such as African and Latin dance. Students will learn the fundamentals and history of House with an emphasis on freestyle.

  • Intro to Dance

    Intro to Dance

    Intro to Dance is designed for 4-6 year olds and teaches the fundamentals of Tap, Ballet and Jazz in a fun and nurturing environment. In addition to learning dance vocabulary and technique, students build self-esteem, engage their creativity and make new friends. Dancers must be the required age by October 1, 2023.

  • Intro to Lyrical/Contemporary

    This class is designed for our younger dancers, ages 6-8. Participants will learn basic techniques in the styles of Ballet, Jazz, and Modern and begin exploring how to fuse these styles to tell a story. Lyrical is a style of dance that focuses heavily on emotional connections to the music and free movement.

    While our regular Lyrical/Contemp. classes for ages 9+ require a concurrent ballet class, Intro to Lyrical can be taken as a standalone class. *No Ballet requirement*

  • Jazz

    Jazz

    Jazz is a genre of technique-focused movement that is lots of fun and very high-energy. Jazz dance includes the basic technical skills acquired in ballet dance classes with a combination of unique rhythms and various stylistic gestures. Jazz is a dance style that includes isolation and dynamic changes in the movements. In Jazz class, students learn how to build muscle strength, increase their body flexibility, develop their own movement style, and familiarize themselves with the concept of ‘body awareness’. It also focuses on clean lines, extensions, turns, jumps, and tricks.

  • Jazz Funk

    Jazz Funk is a super-set of Jazz and influenced by the groove of Hip Hop. This fast-paced style incorporates knowledge of basic Jazz foundation and incorporates quick combos emphasizing on feminism and intricate movements.

  • K-Pop

    K-Pop, an abbreviation for Korean pop, is a genre of popular music originating in South Korea. K-Pop dance class blends hip hop, jazz funk, and house dance forms to create choreography that is set to popular K-Pop music. This class will put memory, patience, and body control into practice for our dancers.

    Since K-Pop is a specific dance style, our K-pop classes are choreography based only. A Hip hop class or jazz class is recommendedd to also take for technique.

  • Leaps and Turns

    Leaps and Turns

    Leaps and Turns is a focused class designed to maintain and improve any technique that involves leaping and turning! Dancers will acquire the tools needed to improve their technical skills and prowess while gaining holistic full-body awareness.   • Lyrical/Contemp.

    Lyrical/Contemp.

    Lyrical and Contemporary dance classes are fusion genres of movement that come from the basic techniques and skills found in Ballet, Jazz, and Modern dance styles. Students will explore learning improvisation, partnering and weight sharing exercises in addition to technique. This class emphasizes interpretation of music and lyrics while telling a story. Students will learn that movement has different qualities that can be complex, fluid or abstract. All students must be taking a Ballet class to enroll in a Contemporary or Lyrical class. Must also perform in both classes at end of the year recital.

  • Musical Theater

    Musical Theater

    Musical Theater class builds performance skills in acting, singing, and dancing through a study of improv games, vocal technique, and musical theater numbers from various genres. Audition skills and regular in-class performance practice is emphasized to gain confidence on the musical theater stage.

  • Pointe

    Pointe

    Pointe is a challenging derivative of Ballet dance that we offer to our most advanced ballet students. Students will fine tune and finesse their physical ballet vocabulary, posture, body alignment, and artistry. This discipline is essential for any student looking to pursue higher levels of jazz, contemporary or lyrical as nearly all of the vocabulary for these disciplines comes from ballet.

    Due to the difficult nature of having to train and dance in pointe shoes, this class is invite only.

  • Pre Ballet

    Pre Ballet (for our 5-7 year olds) introduces basic ballet terminology, musicality, and technique for our younger dancers in a fun and expressive environment. The ballet curriculum is based on the Royal Academy of Dance and integrates free movement and imagination.

  • Pre Hip Hop

    Pre Hip Hop (for our 5-7 year olds) provides a fun and educational introduction to the Hip Hop culture. The students learn the fundamentals of movement and coordination through the bounce and grooves of breaking, locking, popping, and freestyling.

  • Pre Jazz

    Pre Jazz (for our 5-7 year olds) builds foundational skills and vocabulary for children wishing to explore the high-energy jazz dance form. Students will learn fundamental technique, balance, rhythm, and style in a fun environment to engage our younger dancers.

  • Salsa

    In this class, students will learn the basics of salsa dance. This will include partner patterns, such as the basic step, outside and inside turns, and Crossbody lead and and solo Salsa steps such as the basic step, the side step, the box step, Suzy Q, and Grapevine.

  • Tap

    Tap

    Tap is an audible art form which incites the creation of music and melody from the feet. Tap class introduces and enforces the understanding and creation of different rhythms. Students will learn how to implement a ‘musical ear’ for analysis of timing and proper tap technique. Students will also gain an understanding of the difference between rhythms that are ‘even’ or ‘syncopated’, intricate counter-rhythms, and practice using their bodies as an instrument of percussion.
